Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC)

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) is an autonomous regulatory body responsible for monitoring, controlling, and mitigating environmental pollution in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It enforces environmental laws under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. DPCC’s functions include granting consents for industries, monitoring air and water quality, managing waste, and implementing pollution abatement measures. It also conducts public awareness campaigns and coordinates with agencies like the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
